Navigating the legislative landscape on CSR and human rights - latest update

There is currently much movement in the legislative landscape worldwide to ensure business integrates corporate social responsibility, supply chain due diligence and overall respect for human rights and environmental protection into its decision-making. AIM-Progress have been partnering with international law firm Ropes & Gray for several years now to provide semi-annual updates on the evolution of the legislative landscape with particular relevance for companies' sourcing strategies.

We are pleased to release our latest update for AIM-Progress members and to the wider business community and civil society. There have been quite a few developments since the latest update, including draft EU legislation on corporate sustainability due diligence and deforestation; forced labour product import bans in Canada and Australia, as well as proposed US legislation pertaining to forced labour, human trafficking, deforestation and the environment, and others.

We will be organising a member-restricted webinar with AIM-Progress companies on 21 April to dig deeper into some of these developments.
